a mirror for skagerak
designed together with mattia risaliti
A suspension in ash and a round mirror. This is the simple recipe for an optical illusion which has given name to and inspired the creation of full moon mirrors. The visible part of the suspension is forming a half-moon which is reflected back from the mirror, giving the impression of a full moon when looking a bit from the side. Beside from this optical function of the suspension, it is easily mount to the wall and make the mirror appear floating inside the room.
